Pratah Snana is more than just personal hygiene; it is a practice that supports the body's natural rhythms, stimulates digestion/agni , and awakens the mind and senses.

  1. Cleanses the body

Removes sweat, impurities and toxins that can accumulate during the night

Supports the skin's natural functions and lymphatic circulation

  2. Supports digestion (Agni)

Warm/lukewarm water stimulates the digestive fire

Prepares the body for the morning meal and helps prevent stagnation of Ama (undigested waste products)

  3. Balances your dosha

Vata: warm water soothes vata and counteracts dryness. Apply oil to the skin afterwards.

Pitta: a slightly cool/lukewarm bath reduces heat and irritation.

Kapha: moderate temperature water stimulates circulation and counteracts sluggishness

  4. Awakens the mind and senses

The morning bath helps to “activate” the body and provide mental clarity.

Promotes energy levels and focus for the day

  5. Supports daily routines and rhythm

By following Pratah Snana regularly, the body's internal clock and biological rhythms are strengthened.

Creates stability, calm and structure, which in Ayurveda is important for both physical and mental balance.
